Is it bad to drink two scoops of whey protein after weightlifting?

Is it bad to drink two scoops of whey protein after a continuous hour long weightlifting workout? its about 50grams of protein. If not what do you recommend?

thanks guys hope to hear back soon.|||50 grams is a little high to digest at one time. But that is correct to have protein after the workout. Protein repairs tissue and will aide in muscle development. It works best if you are also consuming a few carbs and some good fats. 1 scoop 25 grams would be easier for your body to break down and use. Keep the two scoops in the diet, but have it 2x daily. A lite balanced meal 1 1/2 hours and 2 hours before your workout 40% carbs 30% protein 30% fat or 50% carbs 30% protein 20% fat.|||no dude thats fine haha. you cant drink too much protein, youll just sh*t it out if youre body doesnt use it.

you should be getting 1.5 - 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight.

example: weigh 150lbs, you should get about 300 grams of protein per day.

edit: haha oh im sorry i was under the impression that you worked out haha if youre like "jc" down there and just take in a **** load of protein and dont work out, then yes youll put on weight. but if youre like me, and actually work out hard 5 days a week, then youll look like i do.|||thats fine but erics and idiot while you should get 1.5-2 grams of protein to bulk up, if you eat too much the unused protein gets turned into fat

"If you are consuming too much protein, you are probably consuming too many calories over your maintenance levels and this will show as an increase in your body fat levels"|||You need protein in building muscle.

I'm no expert but I can't see if being a bad thing. I'd think you should take it before working out.|||no its not bad. Why would it be bad? protein is good for you and thats the same amount i take.|||YUK!!!!

Have a cheeseburger, you've earned it!

;)|||i don't know but isn't that the recommended amount after a workout?
